Companies are spending an increasing amount of effort and resources on growing content marketing capabilities. We will examine how PR fits into these plans and how PR practitioners can offer value to their in-house or client’s content marketing initiatives to support the business objectives. Miranda Barnard will share learnings and case studies from how PR and marketing teams can unify activities to better reach and engage with key audiences.
Miranda Barnard helps brands connect with their audiences through strategic storytelling, corporate communications and content marketing. She currently guides corporate communications and media relations strategy at one of the tech industry’s fastest growing companies and was recently responsible for content development to drive record revenue growth for a $400M/year organization. Miranda has 15 years of agency and in-house marketing, communication and business operations experience. She has overseen content creation and merging of traditional marketing and PR activities in support of partnerships with Fortune 100 companies and conducted awareness initiatives at the Obama White House and on Capitol Hill. She has overseen PR, corporate communication and B2B and B2C marketing efforts for companies and clients throughout the US, Canada and in Europe. She was named a Utah Business Magazine 40 Under 40 Business Leader, earned an MBA from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Southern Utah University.
